# Basic and Advanced Payroll

## Basic and Advanced Payroll

This guide will cover how to change your payroll system from basic to advanced. There are a few differences in each version which affect the functionality accordingly.

In the Administration of Care Control Windows, navigate to the **System Settings**, which can be found under the Advanced Stuff tab.

Here, select **Key Features** from the options on the left hand menu.

Within the list of settings here is one labelled **Payroll System**.

From the drop-down list, you can select **Basic**or **Advanced**. After making any changes here, press **Save Changes**.

The **basic** payroll setting uses time sheets and comes with the original features of the Care Control payroll system. The **advanced** payroll setting uses work records instead of time sheets and comes with a newer version of the Care Control payroll system with additional features.
