# Bulk Start/Stop Monitoring

## Bulk Starting and Stopping Monitoring

This guide will cover how to bulk stop and start service user monitoring. This can be useful if a service user is away from the home for a period of time, for example, if they are hospitalized or staying with family.

In the Administration of Care Control Windows, open the **Manage Monitoring**tool, which can be found under the **Common Options** and **Care Planning** tabs.

Next, select the service user and press **Bulk Start/Stop**.

A new window will open, here, enter the reason for the change and press **Process**.

When the service user returns from their absence and requires monitoring to start again, follow the same steps as above and this time, enter the reason for return.

Press **Process** to complete the process.
