Removing Medication From eMAR – Care Control Learning Hub

Removing Medication From eMAR

This guide will cover how to remove (deactivate) medication from your eMAR database. Records created using the medication will remain, as well as the medication information itself for integrity purposes, but deactivating it will prevent it from being administered in the future.

1

After signing into eMAR, select Record Information from the home page options.

2

Next, select Medication Database from the options displayed.

3

A list of all the medication on your eMAR system will be displayed. Navigate to the one you wish to deactivate and select it by tapping the circle to the right of the medication name. Press Amend Medication.

4

A medication profile will open. Here, there are some options to amend the medication. To deactivate it, untick the Active In Search option in the bottom right of the window.

Press Save Changes.

5

After saving, the medication will now appear as not active in the medication database list.
