Completing a Care Review

This guide will cover how to begin and complete a Care Review on Care Control Windows. The Care Review outlines all the care requirements of a service user and includes overviews, action plans and levels of need.

In the Administration of Care Control Windows, select Record Information from the options along the bottom of the screen.

Under the Risk & Review tab, select Care Review.

Select a service user from the list and press Continue.

You will be taken to the Care Review area of the selected service users Care Plan. Here, you can view previously recorded reviews as well as work on any active ones.

Press Start Care Review Assessment to begin a new one.

A new window will open. Begin by confirming that the ‘domains’ or ‘sections’ on the left hand side are correct.

You can amend these for this service user by pressing Modify Care Review Sections.

Here, you can move sections over by selecting them and pressing Add / Remove. Sections being used in the review are stored in the right hand list, all other unused sections are stored in the left hand list.

Press Save Changes after making any amendments to return to the Care Review.

We can now begin the review. 

First, complete the Introduction section. This contains questions relating to service user and family member involvement, as well as an overview of the service user.

When you are happy with the content, press Next to save the changes and move onto the next section.

Many of the Care Review sections require a Level of Need to be set. Press Change to do this.

A new window will open. Here, the Level of Need for the previous review will show and you can record a level for this review.

Simply tick the level of need under the Now column, then, press Set Level of Need.

Care Review sections also have the ability to attach Notes and Documents. On the right hand side of the window, press the plus icon to add links.

For Notes, a note searching window will open. Simply enter some search parameters and press Refresh Results.

When you find the notes relevant to the care review section you are working on, simply add it to return to the care reveiw.

Similarly to notes, Document linking allows you to link documents relevant to the Care Review section.

A list of documents associated with the service user will be displayed. Press Save Document Reference after choosing any.
