Setting up QR Codes – Care Control Learning Hub

Setting up QR Codes

This guide will cover how to set up QR Codes for your service users on Care Control Windows. QR Codes can be used to record monitoring and ensure that staff members are in the right place to check something.

1

In the Administration of Care Control Windows, navigate to the System Settings, which can be found under the Advanced Stuff tab.

2

Here, select QR Codes & NFC Tags from the menu on the left.

This will open the relevant settings on the right hand side of the window. Here, choose which monitoring areas you wish to enable QR Codes for.

An example of this could be sleep monitoring – having QR Codes set up for this would mean staff members physically have to go to a service users room, scan the code and only then can they record the necessary information.

3

We can now generate the codes for the service users. Navigate to the QR Code Management tool, which can be found under the Client Area tab.

4

A new window will open. Press Load All Missing QR Codes to generate codes for your service users.

You can also Regenerate All Codes if you wish to refresh existing ones. This can also be done on an individual basis by finding the service user via the options at the top and pressing Refresh QR Code.

When you are ready, select Print QR Codes.

5

A print window will open. Here, you can select which service user codes you wish to print – all are selected automatically, but you can use the Select All / Deselect All toggle button to change this.

To select on an individual basis, simply click on the service users name to highlight them for printing.

Next, choose a Report Format – this is how many codes are printed per A4 page. To save paper, select more per page and then cut out each code after printing and distribute them around the home.

Press Continue to complete the print.
