Coming Soon
to Care Control

See what exciting new features and updates we have planned for 2026.

COMING SOON 2026

Care Control Gateway App

We’re introducing Care Control Gateway, our new desktop app for accessing Care Control Cloud.

Gateway replaces CC Windows and CC Launcher with one modern application for Windows and Mac, giving staff a simpler and more flexible way to securely access Care Control Cloud across both shared devices and individual workstations.

Designed to support both Kiosk Mode and Single User Mode, the Gateway app provides secure PIN based access for shared computers while also supporting longer Cloud sessions for managers and office staff. Providers can also manage and monitor all Gateway installations directly through Care Control Cloud Device Management.

Gateway respects your existing site security settings, including Facial Recognition, while helping staff quickly access the information they need through MyHub.

Built to modernise desktop access across your service, Care Control Gateway delivers a more secure, streamlined and manageable experience for care teams.

Visitor Book

We’re introducing a new and improved way to manage visitors across your service.

The Visitor Book is a modern digital replacement for traditional paper sign in processes. It allows visitors to sign in and out quickly and securely, while giving staff clear visibility of who is in the building at all times.

By moving away from open paper visitor books, the Visitor Book helps protect privacy, improves the visitor experience, and supports safer day to day operations.

In the event of an emergency, the system provides a real time and accurate visitor register, helping your team carry out a safe and compliant evacuation and report confidently to emergency services.

The Visitor Book also integrates seamlessly with Care Control, pulling through relevant data for service users, key contacts, and other visitors to reduce manual input and improve accuracy.

Key benefits

  • Replace paper visitor books with a modern, secure digital solution
  • Provide a faster and more professional sign in experience
  • Give staff clear visibility of who is in the building
  • Support safe and compliant evacuation procedures
  • Maintain an accurate, real time visitor register
  • Improve privacy for visitors and service users
  • Reduce errors in visitor sign in and status tracking
  • Continue operating during connectivity issues

Enhanced Consents

We’re introducing a more flexible way to manage consent across Care Control Cloud.

Enhanced consents allow you to tailor how consent is recorded, supporting both standard and advanced workflows to suit your service. This includes recording consent decisions clearly and consistently, as well as documenting decisions made by a legally authorised representative, such as a power of attorney, where a service user lacks capacity.

The update also gives you greater control over MCA visibility, allowing services in Scotland to turn off MCA’s and stay aligned with local inspectorate requirements.

Designed to support compliance and clarity, Enhanced consents ensure your processes are consistent across Cloud, Mobile, Pocket, and Admin.

Intelligent Care Review

The Care Review is central to the care plan. As such, the service user’s needs, recorded within the Care Review Domains should guide all associated monitoring and risk assessments.

We have improved this area to show which monitoring or risk assessments are linked to each domain and allow users to start new monitoring/risk assessments and adjust monitoring frequency when needs change.

Our intelligent care planning experience links these areas together automatically.

We have achieved this by ensuring:

  • Monitoring sits inside each care domain and adjusts based on level of need.
  • Custom domain forms allow us to ask more detailed questions within each care domain.
  • Risk assessments are directly linked to the relevant care domain.
  • Pre-review questions automatically build the right care domains into the review.
  • Margo AI can now support the process, based on level of need and triggered notes.

We look forward to sharing with you in Quarter two.

COMING SOON 2026

View & Manage Handover Notes

We’re introducing a smarter, more focused handover experience. At the start of a handover, you’ll be able to choose the Care Service Groups (CSGs) you want to focus on and instantly see the relevant staff — including those currently on shift or starting soon. Staff visibility always respects your access, so you’ll only ever see and select people linked to the CSGs you’re permitted to work with. Staff who’ve already received a handover are clearly highlighted, with simple filters to help you stay organised.

CSG selection adds helpful context without getting in the way. When you choose CSGs, that focus is clearly shown during the handover and later in your handover history. If you don’t select any CSGs, the handover is treated as general — keeping things clean and clutter-free. You can adjust CSG filters at any point, and staff selections will update intelligently, preserving valid choices while removing anything that no longer fits. The result is a smoother, clearer handover flow that adapts as you work.
