Care Note Analysis
This guide will cover how to use the Care Note Analysis tool on CC Windows. This feature allows for rapid searching of care notes and the ability to export results for printing or use in Excel.

In the Administration of Care Control Windows, navigate to the Care Note Analysis tool, which can be found under the Care Planning tab.

A new window will open. Here, you can search through care notes by filtering by:
-Service User – searches for notes associated with the chosen SU.
-Staff Member – searches for notes recorded by the chosen staff member.
-Start / End Dates – searches for notes recorded within the date range.
-Search Text – searches for notes containing the entered text.
-Pictures/Videos Only – searches for notes containing media attachments.
After entering the parameters, press Refresh Results to load the data.

In this example, we filtered the notes by one service user, within a date range using the keyword ‘fluid’. The notes which appeared show all notes containing the word ‘fluid’ recorded in the last week for our Room 1 service user.
You can Export and Print the results using the dedicated buttons at the bottom of the window.

There is a setting in the Care Control System Settings which determines the limit on how many notes are loaded when searching in Care Note Analysis.
In the Administration of Care Control Windows, navigate to the System Settings, which can be found in the Advanced Stuff tab.

Here, select Care Management from the options on the left-hand side of the window.
The second setting in the list, titled ‘Care Note Analysis, Note Limit’ can be amended to best suit your needs.
We recommend using a lower limit if you find that the notes are struggling to load when searching. Oppositely, if you are trying to load a large number of notes for exporting, increase this value so that more information is generated.
Make sure to Save Changes after making any amendments.
