Cloud Messaging and Notifications

A new technology was recently deployed to Care Control Cloud, Mobile and Pocket that enables seamless messaging.

What's been changed?

The new messaging systems allows seamless use of messaging between Care Control Cloud, Pocket and Mobile. It also allows seamless shift swapping between apps.

Requesting shift cover

When requesting a staff member to take on a shift via Cloud Roster, a message will be generated and sent to the selected users. These users will now receive a notification on their mobile phone or tablet, prompting them to respond to the request. This process happens in real-time, allowing for immediate responses to notifications. Watch the video below to see it in action!

Live messaging and notifications

Messaging other staff members is now more seamless than ever before. As soon as a message is sent a notification on the users mobile phone or tablet will alert them of the message. They can then instantly respond by tapping the notification.

On Care Control Cloud a notification will now appear when logging in, this will alert users that they have received a message and allow them to respond instantly. During normal use of Cloud, if a message is received it will appear in the top right of the screen prompting users to check their notifications.

Native notification support

Even when not having the Care Control Pocket or Mobile application open, you will still receive notifications. Users of Android and Apple devices will receive a notification informing them that they have received a direct message or shift request. By tapping the notification, the application will then open to the selected message.
