This guide explains how to complete a Mental Capacity Assessment within Care Control Cloud.
In this guide you'll learn how to:
- Create a Mental Capacity Assessment
- Select the relevant decision area
- Use guidance and example notes
- Record assessment findings
- Complete and save the assessment
Open Mental Capacity from the Consent & Capacity menu.

Select the resident.

Select Continue.

Open the decision area dropdown.

Select the decision area.

Select View Guidance.

Close the guidance window.

Select Get Example Notes.

Select an example note.

Select Add Selected Notes.

Select the impairment type.

Select Get Example Notes for the assessment section.

Select an assessment example note.

Add the selected assessment notes.

Review the capacity outcome.

Select the assessment expiry period.

Select Get Example Notes for the conclusion.

Complete the Best Interest Decisions / Next Steps section.

Select Save Changes.
