How to Add and Amend a Cream in the Care Plan on Cloud
This guide explains how to add and manage medications within a Service User’s (Resident’s) Medication Profile in the Care Planning app. It covers how to create a new medication record, including creams and topical treatments, and how to record key information such as type, dosage details, PRN status, start and end dates, and required reasons.
You will also learn how to use the Body Map feature for medications applied to specific areas, add application instructions, and edit existing medication cream records. This ensures medication information is accurate, clearly recorded, and safely maintained within the Service User’s care plan.

Enter the Care Planning App
Select Visit under Resident Care Plans
Open the Medical drop-down
Select the Service User first, then expand the Medical section.
Select Medication Profile
Click Add Medication
Select or Add a Medication
Choose from the drop-down list or add a new medication using the plus button.
Select Medicine Type
Enable Body Map if required
Tick this option if the medication must be applied to a specific area.
Enter Medication Details
Include start date, end date (or ongoing), strength, PRN status, dosage instructions, and required reason.
Use the Body Map Tab
Select the area of application and add instructions such as how to apply and frequency.
Click Save Changes
To Edit a Medication Cream
Open the Medical drop-down, select Medication Creams, choose the record, and click Edit Record. Save changes when complete.
