Gateway is not a separate care system and moving to it does not mean migrating your Care Control data. It provides a new access route into the Care Control Cloud your organisation already uses.
Gateway securely registers each installation to your Care Control site, helping ensure Cloud is accessed from authorised devices.
On shared devices, staff can access Care Control Cloud using their normal individual PIN once the device has been registered.

Generate a One Time Code from Care Control Cloud to securely connect the device to your organisation.
Use your One Time Code to securely register the computer against the correct Care Control site.
Set Gateway up for a shared computer or an individual device depending on how your team will access Cloud.
Once registered, your team can sign in and start accessing Care Control Cloud through Gateway.

Gateway is now fully available for Care Control customers. Once Gateway has been installed on a Windows or Mac device, it can be registered against your Care Control site and used to access Care Control Cloud.

Gateway is a desktop application that needs to be installed on the device you want to use. It is available for both Windows and Mac.
Once installed and registered, Gateway provides the secure connection used to access Care Control Cloud.
Care Control Launcher has now been retired for new downloads and Gateway is its replacement.
Existing Launcher installations can continue to be used while you transition your devices, but new devices and new installations should use Gateway.
We recommend moving your existing devices to Gateway as soon as practical.
Gateway is a secure desktop application designed to replace Launcher and Windows sign-in. It is not a web-based sign-in solution.
Access is restricted to registered devices, with users signing in using their individual PIN.
For organisations using Care Control Cloud, Single Sign On (SSO) is available if required. However, for most staff we recommend Gateway's secure device-based sign-in for the best balance of security and ease of access.
No. Gateway only needs to be installed once on each device, not for every individual user.
Once the device has been set up, multiple authorised users can sign in and use Gateway without needing to contact Care Control individually.
One Time Codes are generated from within Care Control Cloud and are used to securely register a Gateway device to your site.

Gateway uses a different sign-in method to provide an enhanced level of security.
Rather than using a Site Code, each device is registered before it can access Care Control. Staff then sign in using their own individual PIN.
This helps ensure Care Control is accessed by authorised users from approved devices.
No. Moving to Gateway does not mean moving to a different Care Control system and there is no migration of your data.
Gateway simply changes the way you open and sign in to Care Control Cloud. Your existing Cloud environment, users and data remain the same.
Gateway combines secure device registration with individual staff sign-in.
Each device must be registered before it can access Care Control. Once registered, staff sign in using their existing individual PIN.
This reduces the reliance on Site Codes being shared between employees and helps ensure access is limited to approved devices and authorised users.
No. There is no transfer or migration of your Care Control data when you start using Gateway.
Gateway is simply a new secure access route into your existing Care Control Cloud environment.
New devices should use Gateway to access Care Control Cloud.
The device is registered against your Care Control site before staff can use it. Once registration is complete, authorised staff can sign in using their individual PIN.

No. You can transition your existing devices to Gateway in a way that works for your organisation.
Existing registered Launcher installations can continue to be used while you coordinate the move. New devices should be set up using Gateway.
